Tuff Bluff / Glueman – split – New 7"

Kick split from two Denver outfits, Tuff Bluff I knew (and love), shout-along female-fronted punk, maybe a mix of garage and punk with a bit of sassy girl-group fun, catchy punk and serious fun we got coming.  Glueman snatches up the baton and hits the ground running, sticks with the rough n ready propulsive punk, sounding like they are skateboarders or at least with a love for the speed skate punk of decades past, their 3 cuts served live, the anger that served as an vital undercurrent for Tuff Bluff coming to the top with Glueman's lightning-fast delivery.  Both bands focusing on the fast (and good) with riffs to help power the songs along without getting in the way.  It almost reminds me of some bands out in the middle of America at the tailend of the 1970s having fun and inspired by everything good that had happened in the previous ten years in Detroit, Boston, L.A., and Ohio.  In a perfect world, these two bands would team up with Heather and Bobby Hussy and their bands, and they'd all go caravanning across the land, stitching up wounded hearts while burning a trail from Kalamazoo to Timbuktu.
