Glad Songs! Glad Days! – Used LP
1970, straight outta Minnesota and heaven bent, lots of strumming guitars and a strong desire to make the world a better place, picking up the garbage and being good to each other...and stay close to God. Pretty darn charming, likely influenced by Sesame Street (which I think started this same year), one female singer dominates the proceedings with a Joan Baez type thing, but others get in there, like the kids singing about living in the city...they like it...and other charming moments like the sermon on side one, and when they ask what the kids like to sing about on side two..."banana splits...rootbeer...and the Beatles...yeah." Free to be you and me, man.
