Dark Thoughts drag you back into the sun. This is punk with one boot in 1978 and the other in tomorrow. They have the perfect knack of writing perfect 2 minute punk gems. Whilst Jim's lyrics can be deeply personal, there is always hope, things are gonna get better aren't they? "Everybody falls off the rails, for a little while", absolutely.
The songs touch on friendship, love, loyalty, dealing with grief. But more importantly hope. They blitz through 11 songs on Highway to the End in 16 minutes, but hey, you can just lift the needle and start again. Like all the best records.
