gimme rust belt (and australian) punk rock all day...punk rock n' roll from the gut and moving along like...well, like a motorbike...fuckin' eh...why do love junk like this...maybe because it's from the gut...from ohio...from the rust belt...even kicking gears down for some cuts...like punk did 50 years ago before anybody was telling anybody what punk rock should sound like because they didn't give a rats ass, were just focusing on putting some raw punch back into rock and roll and (maybe mostly just inadvertently) punching head rock in the skull after all the overblotted of the previous 6 years, but never getting caught up on what not to do...because trying to not do something can be as stifling as trying to do something...you just got to jump into it..like a kid into a pool...like a fool into a fire...without looking back or looking forward or looking around...or even looking at yourself...this band a breath of refresh air on an open road after listening to so many bands trying too hard to do something like this...this might not have something specific enough to talk about why it's this or that, and might not be vicious enough for fans of biker rock, and not enough this or that for other folks, might never make most people's best of 2023 lists, but I'll just go ahead and put it on mine right now. -- winch
Jerri fell off his moped so we started a band." -Motorbike.
A familiar gang of Cincinnati players fronted by Welsh expat Jamie Morrison. Motorbike began writing and recording their self-titled full length in 2022 at Jerri's Checkered Flag Studios. The resulting twenty-six minutes make up one of the best r'n'r records to ever come out of the Queen City. Loud, guitar-driven punk rock. From the hard-driving, rhythmic rush of Throttle - to the tuneful power-Brit-pop anthem, Spring Grove, Motorbike are living life in the fast lane and ruling every second of it."
