Lurkers, the – Fulham Fallout - New LP

Regular price $ 25.00 $ 0.00

Lurker's debut 1978.  UK punk.

"for simple, unpretentious, catchy, energetic pop/punk/rock’n’roll, Fulham Fallout can’t be beat. There are no duff tracks, no gimmicks and Mick Glossop’s production is raw but pristine. The songs are frantic and funny; something often overlooked is the recurring lyrical theme of mental illness which crops up on more than half of the tracks, fromAint Got a Clue (‘I dunno what’s the matter with me’), to the ‘please help me’ whimpered at the end of It’s Quiet Here. The same insane girl with a gun is a recurring image in two songs, Shadow and Jenny, while the narrator of Self Destruct admits to having ‘no feelings inside’.  As for the protagonist in Gerald… well, he definitely had some psychotic tendencies that only his mother could understand and forgive. Cartoon psychosis, or did something darker lurk within? An absolute classic."
