GREEN NOISE USA EXCLUSIVE!!!  Green Noise is proud to bring these Property of the Lost releases to the states, especially ones like this outstanding 10th anniversary pressing of the debut LP from X Ray Cat Trio (Leeds), the reissue already nearly sold out in the UK, the band offering a mix of vocal and instrumental numbers, monster-mashing up surf-rock,  psychobilly, and garage...putting Sasquatch on a surfboard, out for blood more than looking for love.  All of their albums have a lot in common (such as being inspired by the first decade of rock n roll and being really good), but each also has their own thing going.  For this one, they focus on the macabre, taking cues from late-night creature features, Tales from Crypt, and Poe, worshipping at the altars of folks like The Cramps, the Champs, The Wailers, and Link Wray.  -- winch

For me it’s hard to lock into live records unless I know or like the band. In this trio’s case, the music was a perfect live fitting: raw and wild. This record is a reissue from 2015 and it’s great to have context. This is rock’n’roll with a rockabilly edge. Think Quentin Tarantino films, early surf and hot rod music, and dive bars with low stages. Most of the songs are instrumentals and have an occasional horn section, which gives the songs a lot of authenticity. Put your Duane Eddy obsession to rest, put a pause on Demented Are Go, La Lom, Reverend Horton Heat, and try something new from ten years ago. –Ryan Nichols (razorcake)

Gavin Jay (Jim Jones Revue/Righteous Mind): "jagged, twisted, fucked-up Schizobilly. Great playing and wild energy. A shot in the arm for rock n roll."

Shakin Katz Radio "Out For Blood struts in with a whack of swagger, maintains it and leaves you wanting more. Yes it's dark, raw and rough but hell it's also damn good. Recommended! "

UK Rock'n'Roll Magazine: "Echo and fuzz laden inter-genre-fuck-fest of surf, spaghetti-western and rockabilly guitar all drenched in attitude."

Backseat Mafia: "X Ray Cat Trio definitely fall into the “Horror” genre. This is lo-fi and stripped back surf with a Latin edge, think Link Wray shooting tequila with a Mariachi band in a dive bar late into the evening. "

Vibrations Magazine: " I have to see this band and see them soon. They sound like almost the most fun you can have in a small room. They’re a riot."
