BLACK VINYL.
Another essential 7" slab of wax from Drunk Dial, this one from the prolific Steve Adamyk Band (five long players on Dirtnap alone), blasting in The Kids 1979 "Do You Wanna Know" with all the power and punch intact, bound to put some kicks to your day, some movement to you limbs and a grin to your chin, and singing along...the flipside another cover of sorts, Adamyk returning to the classic closing cut on The Sedatives S/T 2009 album (which featured Adamyk in the first place)...retold tales seen through the thick glass bottoms of beer bottles ...rather than the typical planned intoxicated session of a Drunk Dial release, this was the "spontaneous recordings of longtime bandmates after splitting a Costco case of Corona."
"For those who don’t know, here’s how Drunk Dial Records operates: we invite artists we adore into a recording studio to write and record an original song and cover a classic tune in one session. But there’s a catch! The artist or band in question must compose and perform these songs while inebriated. The recordings are then released as a 7” vinyl single."
