DAVIE ALLAN & THE ARROWS – BORN LOSER'S THEME / THE GLORY STOMPERS [Yellow Vinyl] – New 7"
Regular price
$ 10.00
Barnstorming instrumental blasters! The king of fuzz live in the studio!
I think I've got this right: Davie & the Arrows take the "Born Losers Theme" (from the first Billy Jack movie) and rev up the tempo and rip into like Billy Jack ripping it a new one. And then you got a stomping B-side, a Davie Allan original, I think that he wrote for another biker flick (this one starring Dennis Hopper) from the same year as Born Losers (1967), perhaps delivering it how Davie always wanted it--as an instrumental (or maybe the movie had an instrumental version to begin with). Anyway, this is a 1997 tribute to the biker movies of 1967, and more importantly, a testament to the power of fuzz guitar in the hands of someone such as Davie Allan.
