Green Noise is proud to introduce this new punk band of Italian school kids to folks in the US--or wherever you may call home! (In Europe order directly from Wild Honey Records.) Us oldtimers screwed up the world good with our money-grubbing greed for real estate and destruction of the natural world...sure we helped hand down punk rock for the future to have and hold but along with that, a crapload of other junk that ain't so great...high rents and hopelessness ...violence and chaos...the least we can do is listen to the kids plug in and play their punk rock! 4, sure. USELESS?! I think not!
"If you skip school on Friday, I'll record an album for you. An irresistible offer that the Bergamo-based band THE USELESS 4 seized without hesitation. They sound like a mix between Bikini Kill, L7, and Ramones...made up of the Puddu sisters and the Rizzi brothers—who enthusiastically say YES to every gig offer. In no time, they sharpened a set of original songs and developed a boldness on stage. Producers Brown Barcella and Riccardo Zamboni decide to strike: Our recording studio is free. If you come in early in the morning, we'll set up your gear and record all the songs you have ready. One take, live. Just like the first Ramones album. This album is the result of that day—capturing the magic of first times, raw and reckless, with a spontaneity that can’t be reproduced, only caught at the right moment. Without needing to ask for permission. Not from school, at least."
