Brand new LP from TOP DOWN (Berlin/Oregon]!!!  As with their previous two LPs, the influence of their idols/friends Dead Moon clearly help inform everything they do, and here they perhaps pull in the influence even closer to the core, the DM inspirations always fitting them like an old leather coat, the band showing their age in a good way, sounding even more comfortable with each other and the material, settled in Berlin but still holding their rain-soaked Oregon roots close to heart, wipers slapping, their take on garage punk held together with a wonderful mix of tight and loose, the trio pulled in tight and motoring on, like a rebuild slant six on an old Valiant. -- winch
