Regular price $ 14.00 $ 0.00

ah oh, spaghettiOs, Casual Burn puts on the pots and bashes them around the back door kitchen in some N'orleans' dive, stirs up a whole mess of beautiful punk-rock'n roll stew, Monet's vocals rolling out the edge of the bubbling cauldron, fuzzy focused electric-guitar riffs burning holes through the darkness, drums snapping dust, swamp rats running for cover, rhythm yanking open the drapes and letting some moonlight into the room, wipe the cobwebs from your face and get ready, feast your ears on this.  - winch (green noise)

"Female-fronted punk from New Orleans with haunting punk rock stomp with goth and surf undertones, sludgy downshifts, and a few noisy freak-outs."

"Everything is held together by Monet’s hypnotic vocal style, a sonic sister of Siouxsie Sioux and Alice Bag. Catchy melodies and strong songwriting chops contrast with the blown-out garage vibe of an ‘80s punk record."

Monet Maloof - Vocals
David Sabludowsky - Guitar
Nathan Bluford - Drums
Carlos Knoop - Bass VI

Casual Burn, fresh from the press, dropped like a bundle of Creem on the corner of you know where, crashing through your roof like an anvil, time to wake up, Wile E, stay golden, ponytail, ah oh, spaghettiOs, Casual Burn puts on the pots and bashes them around the back door kitchen in some N'orleans' dive, flicks spoonfuls of hot chitlins in your face, stirs up a whole mess of beautiful punk-rock'n roll stew, Monet's vocals rolling out the edge of the cauldron, fuzzy focused electric-guitar riffs burning holes through the darkness, drums snapping dust, swamp rats running for cover, rhythm yanking open the drapes and letting some moonlight into the room, flick some grits on your forehead to wake you up, get this greaze going, wipe the cobwebs and grits from your face and get ready for fall, feast your ears on this.  —winch (green noise)

Available at greennoiserecords.com, (thanks to the Handstand label for the trades...for the trade-friendly policy, which made me realize how well that works, with every trade, Dirtnap gets paid, Dirtnap artists get paid, Handstand artists get paid, a lot of people getting paid before I even sell a single copy, and as long as some sell I can at least break even, maybe even make a few bucks so I can buy some more good records for you and write some more reviews, and with trades, I can sell you albums like this for a lesser price, save you some money so everyone gets some of the music they love...all that noise probably more than you needed to know but once you get me kickstarted started...fortunately like the plain sleeve of an old 7” this format runs outa room so I’ll stop now and make some of them crazy tags and shit, didn’t even know what the heck that tag junk was all about just a few months ago, but now I understand, you can tag people who helped make the record and they can find your mad rants about something they helped create, I hate to get all positive on you but it’s pretty fucking cool, and that’s coming from an analog old man who still reads zines and repairs his old 8tracks on his spare time so that’s saying something, that’s like total eclipse of the mental mind, making mud outa nothin at all.
