1979 stunner from Knight, amazing set of gospel...soulful rock n roll, simmering and cooking, rocking out on cuts likes  “Slipping and Sliding” and “(Don’t Forget) the Family Plan”... slinking in with “Old Soul of Mine,” I don’t even usually like slow blues but this just burns, uncredited electric guitar, Joe Slay on organ, Floyd Waite on piano, the rhythm section of Brent Brown and Johnny Valentine powering it along and up front just amazing vocal delivery, others coming in on cuts like “One Morning Soon" but mostly Knight in the spotlight, punctuating and phrasing, sinking teeth into it, bringing it on and delivering the goods, the good news and trials and tribulations.  -- winch (green noise)
