Spectre – Slow Emotional Death [IMPORT GREEN NOISE USA EXCLUSIVE VINYL] – New 12"
Remember when Punk was as serious as a judge and a little spooky, creeped you out & made the hair on the back of your neck stand up? I love it when a band have the gonads to wack all their good stuff on one side & not drag it out with filler making a B side. Spectre belt out some really serious shit here with just 6 tracks. It’s a mammoth introduction from a bunch of guys from Como, Italy that makes you salivate & hope they get back in that morgue & pro-create some more. Luvit! Perfect! ***** — James Dixon
Green Noise USA exclusive. Limited edition: worldwide 300 total.
Six songs full of desperation and anger, reminiscent of early Christian Death or Killing Joke, with a dark twist and guitars à la East Bay Ray. The perfect soundtrack for a night at your local cemetery…
One-sided LP, black vinyl, 300 copies, A4 insert with lyrics.
"Spectre comes from Como, a small town in the north of Italy, just a few inches away from Switzerland. Born as Croutons in 2013, they recorded three records with that monicker, Possible Mood Disorder (LP) in 2014, a 7” in 2016 and a CD, Murmuring Voices in 2018. Heavily influenced by bands like Adolescents, T.S.O.L. and early Dead Kennedys, they recently changed their name in Spectre, adding a dark tone to their songs and a Christian Death (Rozz era) feel, as stated by their promo tape Love is Dead released in a small amount of copies last year. Slow Emotional Death, available in September 2024, will be the second release of the newborn Venti3 label, run by Italian writer and punk journalist Stefano Gilardino.
