TOP DOWN – Hard Feelings [IMPORT Random Color] – New LP

Regular price $ 13.50 $ 0.00

This set sounds great, the inclusion of a cover of "Down the Road" and liner notes pointing out how much Dead Moon inspired the sounds, stopping at the filling station to let Fred Cole pump the fuel to the tank to power this along, but this has a rusty feel and engine roar all its own, all the cuts part of the same power plant but running over different ground as you roll through the selections...cohesive variations...jumping from the gate with the standout number "Before I Met You"...while many albums run out of gas or lose their direction somewhere along the way, this flipside houses some of the most essential tracks on the set...the rubber gripping the blacktop on cuts like "They Said" and "October Falls, these originals running wonderfully next to the cover of the Cole song....kick back in the worn leather and click on the 8-track, chew on a chunk of asphalt like it's a hunk of Bazooka Joe, throttle the steering wheel with your gloved hand and put your left palm to the warm wind, feel the chill, enjoy the ride.  - winch (green noise records)

"I know you're out there somewhere, waiting for me just beyond the rise."  FC
