Another instrumental surf rock 7" from the unstoppable globetrotting Otitis Media Records, this band from Mexico City...strapping you into the dragster for quarter mile drag...or so I assumed, but this moves more like a top-down cruise on a two-lane blacktop, "Speed 69," from 69 kilometers an hour to 69 miles an hour, and since the quarter mile in the title of the EP is not one of the songs, perhaps the title references this: the grooves on this EP do probably stretch out to about 1/4 de milla!  That's amazing!  This sounding like they break loose for the open road, following the two-lane blacktop through barren lands and into the shore of the Sea of Cortez and/ or into vanishing point!  -- winch
