hillbilly pop from Canada 1965, clearly showing her influences, Wanda Jackson, Brenda Lee, Loretta, Kitty, Patsy...covering Wanda's "Right or Wrong" (and others that sound familiar and fans of 1960s country can probably identify), all the cuts a blend of hillbilly and pop but moving back and forth along that spectrum, the cuts heavy on the pop side especially wonderful, going into bubblegum territory on cuts such as the cover of "Sugartime" (originally by the McGuire Sisters) and "Put Your Arms Around Me Honey" with vibes and corny organ and a suggestive motorboat simile.  Great grab for fans of rare teen pop or pop country from the 1960s. -- winch
