"Smooth Brain is pre-Cruelster, Knowso, The Carp with Nathan Ward on bass, Michael Gill on Guitar, Nathan's non-twin brother Jim Ward also on guitar, and Kevin Jaworski (Pleasure Leftists and 9 Shocks Terror) on drums. Smooth Brain first released their debut Fleas 7" in 2012 on Bloated Kat and then their follow-up 7" One Of Them in 2013 on Bloated Kat, Dead Broke, and Root of Evil Collective. The Demoted 7" was recorded in 2014, but not released until 2024, some 10 years later. Might I say that the Demoted 7" is Smooth Brain best work yet? Yes, I would. Give it a listen here:
