Brandy – The Gift Of Repetition – New LP
Proud as a parent to bring you the latest creation bought you by Total Punk Records, the label that reminds us just what total punk sounds like, brand-new Brandy reminding us that REPETITION is indeed the gift that keeps giving, the band hammering out the punk rock like building a house, one built to last, with a bit of shimmy shake added to the machine rhythms, shaking it up and nailgunning a roof on the factory...electronics snaking their ways into some songs but the hammer stamping the sounds into the repetitive aggressive drive that dominates the proceedings, like smashing a plugged-in computer console in a trim press on an assembly line...the whole thing reminds me of Mean Janeen cranking the tunes and shaking her beautiful hefty hips while she runs computer parts through the trim press at Viking Die Cast back in the Michigan rust belt in 1981, kicking rats from drill press coolant puddle and kicking out the jams. -- winch (green noise)
