Green Noise is proud to bring the releases of Venti3 Records (Italy) over to the States, a brand new punk label stationed in Milan (Venti3 and Green Noise brought together with the help of Wild Honey Records), opening the partnership with this PREORDER for Venti3's first release, a 9-song 12" from this Italian punk band The Twerks, in a format I respect so much, the 12" one-sider (why pad a longplayer with filler when you can select the best of the bunch, record concise versions of the songs and pack 9 of them into one side...make the side so good you can just leave the record on the turntable and return to later or just play it over and over), this 12" featuring a solid set of punk rockers, some of the sounds of the 1990s coming through the songs, cynical, catchy and melodic, wipe the grime from the face in the mirror and move on, kick open the bathroom door and jump into the hall, join your punk-rock friends in the small venue proceedings, each song featuring plenty of power-pop shout-along charm without watering down the punch...or without completely losing the darkness at the edges...but letting go and stepping on, lessons from the 1960s but yanked through the 1990s...the trio seeming natural as a child and almost effortless as it moves along, this band with purpose rather than aggression, yet packed into rhythm and driving it home (and that's one of the main reasons I love punk so much, the band and songs packed together into one thing, and moving that tightly wound ball of rhythm forward like an animal making a b-line to someplace, punching it to the heart and socking it home...whether it's with aggression or just effortless intention...and beyond the songs--or part of tunes and packed around the songs--another element so integral to punk is the idea of community)...and clearly coming together as one seems a huge part of this band, the trio sounding like friends, working the songs like their arms are linked, female/male vocals delivered together to help punch home the rhythm and the message...you can almost see the fist pumping as the band moves through the cloud of bullshit that gets in the way of living, clearing the way like a fan to the fog, delivering us to a clearing, a place where the tattered remnants of hope can exist at least for a moment.  What the fuck, grab on to that. -- winch

"The Twerks started in Sesto San Giovanni, on the outskirts of Milan, in 2013, with members coming from previous bands of the same area. Largely influenced by the sound of 70’s and 90’s, they mix punk rock with power pop elements. Their first recordings dates back to 2014, a six-song EP called Rat Race. Two years later they released their first full-length, Kinky Boredom.  After a two years hiatus and with a new line-up as a trio, they came back with a cassette-only release, (No) Opinion, full of guests from the Italian punk rock scene. In September 2024, they will make a full comeback with a single-sided white vinyl: A Private Display of Trouble, the first release of the new label Venti3, run by Italian writer and punk journalist Stefano Gilardino."
