Sum of the parts and all that, sorta of recalling Bee Bee Sea and Yonic South (featuring members from them bands) but also clearly something completely different, maybe showing a bit more hints of garage power pop from the 1960s and 1990s (even though they had other names for that stuff in those decades)...sounding like spring headed toward summer, a day in May when the sun breaks through and you can't find a reason to wait until the school year is officially over so you jump up and ring the release bell yourself...school's out whether they like it or not...sounds like a dose of melancholy poured into a 40 oz bottle of joy...sounds like you should crank this, jump on the burlap davenport in your basement, stomp up the stairs and kick the skateboard down the blacktop, shake the rain from your mane, kick off your sneakers and stomp about in the wet grass. -- winch
