Limited Edition. Housing a side of live cuts from 1990-1991, and a studio side featuring cuts from three albums, two from the 1990s, one from 2001.
Carla Olson moved from Texas to Los Angeles in the late 1970s and formed the new-wave outfit the Textones, and then in the 1990s, former ROLLING STONES guitarist Mick Taylor began what was to be a series of collaborations Olson, first with their "Live at the Roxy" album Too Hot For Snakes, the centrepiece of which is a performance of “Sway” (the Rolling Stones song from Sticky Fingers) included on this album. (Typically, I don't need an extended electric guitar bridge, but Taylor is no ordinary guitar player, and he can do whatever the hell he wants and I'd be happy.).
These live dates were followed by Olson's Within An Ace, which featured Taylor on seven songs. He appeared on three songs from Reap The Whirlwind and then again on Olson's The Ring of Truth, on which he plays lead guitar on nine tracks. This is the best of their collaborations. Including the tracks, "Sway," "See The Light," "Within An Ace," "Loserville," "See The Light," and "Justice."
