Dazey and the Scouts – Maggot - New 10"
"Originally released in 2017, Maggot never got the attention it fully deserved until 2020 when track, Wet, went viral. Fans have been asking for a vinyl version of the album and we are so happy to finally share this." -- Get Better Records
This Boston band stomp, pogo, siren, songbird, twirl and punch through different versions of their foot-planted sound, moving from spiked humor to sonic reflection, moving between songs and within songs, bulldozering over the jangle and questioning to funnel into the conclusions, all the influences maybe showing in all the songs, but different cuts clearly showing more obvious presence of different influences, East Coast 1960s girl group...riot grrrl...1990s indie rock...a thread of lyrical stabs and punk-rock punch running through the set. If you don't know this band but think you might like this, you'll probably love it. -- winch (green noise)
