Classic 1972 set from Debbie, gospel-influence soul that's a mix of uptown and downhome, Motown, Gladys Knight and Aretha, sinking into some swampy psychedelic funk for the third cut "Too Sad to Tell."  It's all good, including the soulful "second to none" that follows it, but that third cut takes the cake for me, slinks you down to bone with some tribal voodoo sounds.  -- winch
