Omari, Abdou El – Nuits de Printemps Avec Abdou El Omari [IMPORT] – New LP
Abdou El Omari
Casablanca, Morocco 1978
Oriental monster from the organ king of Casablanca, combining traditional rhythms with spaced out modern sounds. Third part of Abdou El Omari's Nuits-trilogy. This album contains dazzling instrumentals spiced up with some traditional vocal parts. While playing his fine melodies Abdou switches swiftly from his "Farfisa Professional" mothership to an analog ARP.
High quality pressing. Artwork and label design by Pieter Heytens.
Abdou El Omari, the bachelor hairdresser, composer and organ player from Morocco got his final recognition almost 7 years after his passing away in Casablanca in total anonymity. Few of his recordings have been released in the 70s by the legendary Gam Boujema who still opens his record store Disques Gam in downtown Casablanca.
