Punk from Columbus, and like a lot of punk from Ohio, this has some repetition, minimalism, and oddball but it also has some variety and acoustic guitars tuned to imperfection, mixing some faster electronic punk rock and not afraid and making no apologies about making some clear and serious messages with experimental mid-tempo and slower rough hewn pop cuts that have some charm and helps set them apart and sound like they have some Half Japanese influences and make them more connected with the underground-rock pop from the 1970s that was so distinctively Ohio.  Influences from the indie rock of the 1980s also likely shows here (and this helps clear the fog from the bridge that connects that 1980s music back to the previously mentioned 1970s underground scene).  If this is art punk, it sounds Rust Belt and working class, from the backyards you see on the Amtrak, sounding like AV geeks who didn't have the coin for college and ended up opting for an education at factories and ended up going to night school so they get certified to x-ray the wings of the Space Shuttle for NASA and start a band called Kneeling in Piss.   What I am trying to say is that all your cousins will hate this album, but I've been listening to it all day because it's great and you will think it's great too.  -- winch (green noise)
