Copyrights, The - Mutiny Pop - LP

Regular price $ 15.99 $ 0.00
Mutiny Pop is the record that started it all for what true pop punk has become today. The Copyrights took the classic pop punk sound and beat the shit out of it until the only thing left was the heart and bones of what makes the genre so catchy and infectious. From there they re-created the songs as anthems and ragers. Gone were the toe tapping head bopping beats of the past. Pop punk was forever changed.

Bands like Rivethead, Off With Their Heads, and later Dear Landlord, The Dopamines, and Banner Pilot definitely played a role in the pop punk revolution of the '00s, but it started with these kids from Carbondale.

Mutiny Pop was the second album released by The Copyrights in 2006 on Insubordination Records. It was also the first 12" released by It's Alive Records. The first and only pressing sold out in a matter of months. It has remained out of print on vinyl for nearly a decade.

This repressing is actually more like a reissue. New vinyl masters were cut by Dave Eck at Lucky Lacquers from the original audio masters produced by Mass Giorgini at Sonic Iguana. The artwork was reverted back to the original version like that of the CD release. All copies were pressed on 150 gram opaque orange vinyl. This reissue looks and sounds even better than the original vinyl pressing.

Grab a piece of history before it's gone again!
