The book tells the entire Dead Moon saga in the words of the band itself. Just the voices of Fred, Toody and Andrew. It includes a complete illustrated discography of everything Fred, Toody and Andrew have released, and TONS of band photos, flyers, and weird ephemeral stuff. Lots of it has never been seen by the greater public.

DEAD MOON was an active lo-fi garage / rock 'n' roll trio from Portland, Oregon from 1987 to 2006. The band achieved cult status, shrouded in myth and legend. The biography of singer Fred Cole is a roller coaster ride, beginning in the teen beat era of the sixties, of countless bands and musical styles, an unstoppable thirst for action and a great love. DEAD MOON cultivated their version of the DIY ethos and always avoided falling into the traps of the conventional music industry. They toured around the world, played in live clubs between Oregon, Europe and New Zealand, produced their own records and ran their own music business and label of the same name, TOMBSTONE MUSIC. Their story is unique in the halls of rock music - a band that never betrayed their ideals.

The first two editions sold out quickly, published in the USA in 2018 under the title "DEAD MOON - The Book" are now trading at high prices - so we are now making the pure book version available at a lower price. The book traces the history of the band from Portland, Oregon in words and pictures. With this third edition, there is now a revised, updated and expanded edition by 20 pages. The previously extensive image section was supplemented by previously unpublished historical photos, posters and flyers as well as an interview with Hans Kesteloo especially for this issue. Discography and gig list have been revised and completed.
