G+: wear to both sleeve and vinyl, plenty of crackle but nothing too extreme.  Actual item in photographs. 1977...ranging from forgettable to pretty darn cute, mostly the latter, the Colorado Cowboy Dick Clark (no, not that one) and Joy Lewis, hillbilly music with Joy's New Orleans upbringing showing up in some of the rhythms, adding a little New Orleans swing to "Hey Good Lookin'" and "Divorce COD." Joy's original CB radio song takes the top slot in my log book, gets a big 10-4 from me, a song about how the CB really helped make the road a little less scary and lonely for a girl behind the wheel, a lot like the internet today (but don't email and drive!), and like the internet, you have to be careful, be careful of CB cowboys knocking on your back door, but this sexy seat cover sets that cowboy straight.  Like so many of these duet albums, the female half is what makes it worth a spin, and unlike most of these, Dick knows to let Joy dominate the microphone, the band really gelling around Joy's vocals on "It's Such A Pretty World," the Louisiana songbird offering a heartfelt rendering of "Love of the Common People" where her vocal talents really shine.  She's quite the woman, plays guitar, piano, drums, banjo, sings in several languages and has a masters degree in performing arts!  -- winch (green noise records)
