Jarre, Jean-Michel - The Concerts in China - Used LP

Regular price $ 2.00 $ 0.00

sleeve and vinyl: G+

In the late 1970s, Jarre was an unexpected rock star, playing at California Jam II, and in the years that followed before a crowd of a million (in Texas) and 3 million (in London)!  Wakeman, Oldfield and the others probably hated this because Jarre lacked the talent of many of rock's keyboard players from this era.  But that just goes to show you--you can skip your piano lessons once in a while and go out and play in the fields and dream of robots and aliens and you'll do just fine, maybe even play California Jam III in the future! - winch

"The concerts were the first performances of rock or contemporary music ever given in the People's Republic of China. Jean-Michel Jarre wrote several new compositions for these concerts, including "Night in Shanghai", "Laser Harp", "Arpegiator", "Orient Express", "Souvenir of China" and "Fishing Junks at Sunset"
