Jackson, Michael – Off the Wall – Used LP
VG/VG (considerable wear but solid listening copy)
August 1979. While Michael had released two solo albums in the early 1970s, up to this point, he was primarily known as part of the Jackson 5. That changed beginning with this album when Quincy Jones came in to help Michael become the king of pop. This album also played a huge part in creating the post-disco sounds of the 1980s, in the worlds of soul, R&B, funk, and pop. While this has that slick funky sound that Jones had perfected in the late 1970s with Brothers Johnson--so much a part of the times and so much apart--but here he helps Michael bring it to new ground.
